Monday, it was Papa's birthday but he still have to send me to the airport as I'm due to fly this morning.

Each time I'm at the airport I feel rather sad. I mean... how many times would someone step into an airport a year? Of course I'm not talking about airport stuff or flight attendants. Airport is a place for 离别.

Papa & Dearie would always watch me enter through the counters and they'd leave. But I always turn back and peeked by the side and watched them go sadly.

As usual, I met Mr Leong in the waiting room before boarding. We sat together and chatted about wu eh boh eh.

We went through the usual routine of arriving at Pudong airport and took the 3 hour coach to Suzhou. As usual, Vivian & Mr Zhang would pick us up and we'd all have dinner together. This time it was at Chuan Fu Lou which was near Mr Leong's Suzhou apartment.

While we got there, it was around 7pm and both Vivian & I tried contacting K, who went to Shanghai earlier, to join in.

Mr Zhang brought some red wine and all of us had to drink while having dinner.

After dinner, the rest of them wanted to go drink DESPITE ALREADY having red wine with them!

I seriously cannot understand how did a 70 year-old ah pek find so much energy to "party"? I told them I had some upset stomach won't be joining them.

I went back to the apartment alone and unloaded my luggage and bath and nuahhh....

A while later I heard the door opened. I figured Mr Leong & K returned from drinking.

I was going to sleep when I heard from weird sound coming from the toilet. As K & I shared a common bathroom, I was wondering what those weird sounds were... it sounded like moans? Was he DIY-ing?? Urgh.... But later the weird sound got louder, then I realised he was vomiting?

Aiyo.... So he couldn't hold his liquor well but still had to entertain Mr Leong during drinking ah?

I only managed to turn in after the weird sound stopped =X

Tuesday, had breakfast together with Mr Leong & K before we went to work.

Weather was ok. It's summer now, so it was same like Singapore.

Did my work whole day with K beside me. I find it more productive that way. However we didn't talk, there was nothing to talk about anyway, he was always this quiet one. Even during lunch time, I was hungry to death but he was still quietly working on his stuff. I wasn't quite interested to go out and eat with him to suffer all these silent treatment so I offered to takeaway KFC for him.

After work, he brought me to this fried rice place nearby our apartment. To be honest, it was actually quite good! I was quite lazy to explore around eating places nearby the apartment to settle dinner and usually settle with instant noodles or cereal/cornflake with milk and of course fruits to stuff myself full.

Wednesday, another sian & boring routine day.

But how can I forget taking zi lian pics of myself?

Sigh I'm getting older... look at the wrinkles creeping up the corners of my eyes!

The only consolation at work and this trip was that it was very conducive with K beside me. I could easily finish the homepage of our mirco-site.

After work, we had ramen across the street of our apartment. The one where Mr Leong brought Vivian & I to. Apparently K has never been there. Hmm....

After dinner, we went over to the DVD shop and bought some DVD and went home and nuah again....

Thursday, as usual, each time I traveled there, Mr Leong would request for a company dinner with everyone to 联络感情.

Dinner was well... rather blend. To be honest, the China colleague wasn't very willing to eat with Mr Leong. In fact, they only felt obliged to join in.

Or perhaps I should say, each of them has different reaction towards it:
  • For Lili, she's rather gian bng so she's always on for free 招待.
  • For Lisa, she seems to be quite afraid of mingling with me (including K & Mr Leong) and I have no idea what her stress/worries were.
  • For Mayun, I guess it's the language barrier... she usually don't know what we're talking about (in English) and she couldn't express herself well in English hence the gathering seem pointless for her. Mr Leong do not understand Chinese either.
  • For Simon, he seem to be a chin chai person without much views nor tempers like K.

Sometimes I am also confused by the ''company gathering'' thing too. I felt that 老板请客,只是买大家的时间陪他吃饭.

Because during the actual dinner, Mr Leong actually talks more to me and/or K while the staffs talked amongst themselves. And if Mr Leong has any questions, K and/or me would have to translate and whatever the staffs said, we'd have to translate to English back to Mr Leong, a bit pointless also.

After work, as usual, Mr Leong suggested KTV. *rolls eyes* We were then divided into 2 groups: the girls would take bus to Jinji Lake while Simon would join us on a cab trip. The girls actually got on the bus earlier than us as it was always a challenge to get a cab at the business district during peak hours.

The girls got to this Rainbow KTV earlier than us. The lobby looks huge!! And the aisle to individual rooms looks interesting!

When you enter the room, what greeted me were many alphabets!!!
B C D cushions on the sofa!

I had to take pics with those cute things!

I couldn't find "C", turned out the Candy was holding cos it stands for her name! LOL! So I took a pic of Lisa & Candy.

We didn't sing for too long as all of us needed to get up early next day to visit The World Shanghai Expo 2010.

Friday, it was a company trip to the Shanghai Expo, sponsored by company/boss.

K & Mr Leong were heading back to the Shanghai apartment first and would meet us at the entrance where the coach would be dropping us. So I was on my own to meet up with the China colleagues.

Got up at 530am, left apartment at 630am, took cab to the place of boarding - at this shopping mall call IN CITY. I should visit it next time!

I was early and I was glad to see Mayun & Lisa. The rest had already boarded the coach even earlier so our stop would be the last stop and we'd all heading over to the Shanghai Expo venue! Everyone took some snooze during the journey.

There was some confusion with which entrance we were supposed to enter. Not really sure what was happening. But the bus coach dropped us at the wrong entrance, so we had to walk on foot to another entrance.

The venue of the Expo was really fucking huge and meeting at the wrong entrance was really a problem. It was a 20-minute walk and by then we already wasted a lot of time... aish!

We thought that by getting through to the right entrance, we were able to enter immediately but guess what, the person in charge has us queued up as he need to bulk purchase the tickets.

According to this picture, we were at Gate 4.

According to this picture, there were actually blocks of flats on the right... pfffff, they were able to look at the pavilions right from their windows for free lor!

While waiting for tics...Nothing to do so took some pics!
PHOTOBOMBER GO AWAY!!!! >.<

With colleagues Lili, Lisa, Simon,
After getting the tickets we still need to wait to enter for dunno what reason.
Another half hour gone by....

YAY!! My one-day expo ticket!

Happily posing with my ticket although I felt that I looked extremely cui - puffy & small eyes, wide nose, pale lips, pimple near my chin! And the creepy photobomber uncle was behind me~~urgh @#!*^!%@!@$

This was the scene after my ticket was punched...

Funny how we were heading straight for Gate 5 instead?

After we were emitted inside, there was another fucking long queue cos our baggage needed to be checked AIRPORT STYLE! No liquid allowed - as we're supposed to purchase drinks inside -_-" sibei sian....

FINALLY FINALLY!!! After all the hassle, we finally made it through the gate and stepped into the expo venue...

To Be Continued...
