May 17, 2009 Summer Vacation Day 7

Sunday, ZY & wife were schedule to select pictures at a wedding boutique salon in Zhuhai and we are to follow them.

Zhuhai is another PRC city near Macau. Ok, wait... just to clear up confusion:
  • Shenzhen & Zhuhai are 2 cities of Guangdong province nearest to HK & Macau.
  • HK & Macau are separated by sea.
  • Shenzhen is accessible by land from HK.
  • Zhuhai is accessible by land from Macau.
  • Shenzhen & Zhuhai are separated by sea.

If you're thinking what about Guangzhou? Well, it's the largest city in Guangdong province. Guess what, Ip Ma fans? Foshan city is also a city in Guangdong, right beside Guangzhou. Southern China ppl are mostly Cantos or Hokkiens. That's how the China/Chinese immigrants formed HK & TW? Ok let's not get historical or geographical....

Anyway, same thing like Singaporeans entering JB, same thing like entering Shenzhen from HK, we need to fill in the forms and produce passport upon entering Zhuhai from Macau.

We had to take a short cab trip to the bridal store and basically nuah there.

There's probably a thousand pics~

Bridal business in China are SERIOUS business. The whole 3 levels are occupied THE WHOLE FLOOR (those must be a few units lor!) by this 天长地久 bridal store.

But I have to say that their wedding photos are really non-SG typical types. The fact that it was taken overseas is really spectacular liao but... check these out! I am very sure we won't have some of the costumes here... even if have, probably also no bride dare to wear :X

Let's start off with... Macau where pics were taken at Venetian & St Paul's~

I love the flower series! I love flowers!! I think taking pics duing spring season is definitely awesome! I heard Dasao lost a lot of weight to look good in these photos and even Xiang's bro also specially perm hair lol

Besides those outdoor shoot! Below are also some DRAMATIC studios shoots.
Please tell me you appreciate them ok :P

Err... supposedly Emporer & Emperess?

Also erm periodic style often seen in Jay's MTVs lol

Song boh??? Which SG bridal store provide such costume/setting for newly-weds?

I kid you not but they seriously have A THOUSAND pics. They have so many serious and each series have different hair/makeup/costume and obviously they probably took 30-40 shots or something? So bro & dasao really have to sat through to select shots they like. If they went over the limit after shortlisting and still felt they want more photos, they'd have to top up more -.- Aiyo...

Basically nuah in the store, can't do much. Took the cab back to the custom place to shop around a bit! A goofing pic along the way

After shopping a bit, we had dinner at Ajisen. Haha come all the way to eat Ajisen right? Like SG don't have?

Headed back to Dasao's friend's apartment to get our luggage and some quick bite and head over to the airport. A lot of waiting & zo bo

After the last few pics, we were getting ready on board. The flight didn't have a lot of ppl. So we could basically spread out and don't have to sit side by side.

Had a long day, buay dong and practically sprawled on the 3-seater to have a good nap before we landed at 2am.

It wasn't an entirely all-good trip but having so many nice pictures taken is good enough though I was expecting it to be more fun but I guess that's the downside of travelling with elders. Can't really have a lot of say. Wish to go back to visit HK with Dearie again if there's a chance in the future soon.

Till the next Travel log again really soon!
