Glass Slippers (2002)
Was reading this Korean Drama novel 玻璃鞋 Glass Slippers which my sis borrowed.
She said it was an extremely exciting drama full of plot and what else but drama. Something that won't happen in real life but something worth pondering..
What I want to stress about this Drama/Novel is that, there seem to be a very clear vision & mission about what the producer/creator is trying to relate to viewer/readers. The creator (She also wrote 情定大饭店 Hotelier) added in a lot of those 'Why should I be in this world?' 'Why am I doing all these?' 'Who exactly am I living for?' into the drama/plot for each & every character to realise it.

Lee Seon Woo/Kim Yoon Hee 李善宇/金芸曦 (Kim Hyun Joo 金贤珠)
Yoonhee had separated with her elder sis, Taehee15 years ago after being knocked down by a truck and after waking up, she had lost her memory and assumed identity as Seonwoo because the only item on her was a ringed-necklace carved with the name Seonwoo which belonged to her mother. Seonwoo grew up in a harsh environment, slogging everyday with miserable pay. Her life change when she met Jaehyuk...

Kim Tae Hee 金苔曦 (Kim Chil Ha 金芝荷):
Tae Hee has been separated with her younger sister, Yoonhee, 15 years ago and not once had she given up hope on finding Yoonhee. That was her late father's wish, to take care of Yoonhee. After 15 years, she was a successful career woman who was groomed as heir to take over her grandpa's company. But little did she know that the sister she had been looking for all her life is the woman whom Jaehyuk (her fiance) loved dearly...
Her lifelong goal would be: To find Yoonhee, to manage a big company as CEO, to marry Jaehyuk.
Jang Jae Hyuk 张在赫 (Han Jae Shik 韩在石):
He was born in a wealthy family with their own family business but his dad was being framed and driven to death by scheming shareholders. For the past 15 years, there was only one thing on his mind: to seek revenge. To get back what was original his even if it meant marrying the woman he doesn't love, Taehee. But his life change when he met Seonwoo...
His lifelong goal would be: Seeking revenge at all cost, to protect Seonwoo and hope to keep her by his side.
Park Cheol Woong 朴哲雄 (So Ji Sub):
The only thing he knows is fight. Since young he'd been a gangster, mixing around with hooligans and fight for a living until he met Seonwoo. Despite being a rowdy person, he is quite simple minded & naive & cute when he's not fighting. He only has eyes for Seonwoo and willing to do anything for her. He's always there for her whenever she needed him even if she was pouring her feelings for Jaehyuk to him.
His lifelong goal would be: Protecting Seonwoo, making sure that she doesn't shed a tear and is always happy, to be together with Seonwoo forever.
Was really really touched & inspired by this serial.

Glass Shoes is really really those 'Drama of a Lifetime' kind of plot that shows all sides of human being! The friendship, kinship, relationship of each of the characters.
Every characters are ESSENTIAL! No part would you find it extra!!! Really love the scriptwriter of this serial.
This is a picture of the cast together with the director & producer. Unfortunately, the other male lead wasn't in the picture. From left: unknown (The greedy & ruthless one, Yoo Seung Yi), The male lead, Jang Jae Hyuk, Director, Producer, unknown (The career-woman, loving elder sister Kim Tae Hee), Kim Hyun Ju (The most important character in the whole serial, Lee Seon Woo/Kim Yun Hee), Kim Jeong Hwa (The younger sister of the other male lead, Park Yun Hung)
Know how much I'm smittened with dramas? Be it HK, TW, Jap or Kor? It always trigger one's mind on thinking about life. 人生如戏, 戏如人生.
There are similarities and difference, dramas are more exaggerating but in life, there's a role for everyone to play just like how actors & actresses carry out their acting in a set.
Seonwoo is my role model! And I want to be like her! Living with contentment everyday, slowly achieving her dreams and making everyone around her happy! That's what I want to be!
Another reason why I love Korean drama is because....this is obvious! Haha! The female leads are usually SHORT HAIRED!!! (Think Winter Sonata, Romance, All About Eve, Glass Shoes!!) HAHAHAHA!!!! *ok lame*
