WTC is the movie where I think I teared the most cos I'm a sucker for movies where they are on verge of loosing their love ones.

All the firemen, police officers were really really so courageous.

Story a bout this sergeant who brought along his men to evacuate the place and save those who were stuck inside. But they haven't even gotten to start their duty and the building crashed while they were in the podium between the 2 towers. They got stuck inside with rubble, pillars piling on top of them.

There was a particular scene were 3 ppl were stuck underneath. Nic Cage as John, the other male lead as Will Roudigues and another guy (Joe?), an officer that John also knew.

So Will & Joe were stuck close by while John was a few metres below them. Joe was the one who freed himself, he got himself out of the wreck and went over to help Will who was stuck with a big piece of....I dunno, stone? Just something really big & huge on top of him. So he asked Joe to helped him up but it was too heavy for Joe to lift, it was something that required an equipment needed.

Joe was the only free man who was not too severely injured. He wanted to get up there to call for help but John insisted that Joe get Will up first and both of them will leave together to get help together. But Joe was really tried and he just couldn't move that huge piece of thing off Will's body.

Just as Joe was about to try again, the whole place shook and more rubble and wreckage fell onto them. Joe was later severely crushed and blood was all over his mouth. He was mortally injured this time. He was stuck and in great pain, he was lying on his back and his whole body was severely crushed this time. He didn't have strength to speak any longer.

Joe finally couldn't tell it, and took his revolver and seek permission from John (who was probably higher rank than him) to 'get a rest' and shot himself. Will cried cos he witnessed the whole thing right in front of him.

It was a shit situation where one can't save himself nor others. John kept screaming in pain cos his legs were crushed badly too. So both men began talking about "Pain is my friend, pain keeps me alive, pain reminds me that I'm still alive."

At the other end of the story was their families worry about their husbands, dads.

There was an occasion where the wreckage moved again, blazing fires around them and both of them were prepared to die and they were making their last prayers and telling each other that they will see each at the other side of life. Will even saw Jesus holding water for him.

There was also another important factor about this executive who was an ex-navy heard about the 911 news and wanted to go to the front line and save ppl's life. While every other officers & rescuers were evacuated, him & another military guy, both men went ahead and continued looking for survivors and both of them had made up their minds and was very bent about 'no turning back'.

Later on, Will's hands were free and there was a pipe in front of him. By then he was already bloody thirsty and he didn't care what was passing out from the pipe as long as it's something liquid, even if it was dirty water.

So apparently, the pipe was still some distance away, but each time when Will try to reach forward, he felt pain so the pipe will hit against another metal, producing sound each time Will failed. John heard it and asked Will to keep on doing that. Will obeyed his superior and did that and finally it got the attention of the ex-navy & military guy. John &

Will kept shouting and the ex-navy & military guy kept looking for where the voices came from and they finally found survivors and got more manpower etc.

A huge crew of police, firemen were standing by. Among the rescuers, there was a leader who asked if anyone knew paramedics. This inconfident guy was saying his license expired 4 years ago. But the leader asked him if he was really sure about doing this cos this is not 'playing sticks', anything was moved, the whole place will collapse killing everyone. That inconfident guy then spoke louder and said yes he could do it. So he was the one who went down and rescued Will up.

But there was difficulty and it was really tight so he needed more help of equipments. But Will asked that paramedic guy to saw off his legs to make things easier and wanted that paramedic guy to save John. But the paramedic guy told him that John was at least 20 feet down below and even if he saw off Will legs, it wasn't going to help since they weren't even sure whether the rescuers could even go that down below. However, he assured Will that he was going out in one piece.

After Will was rescued, it was John's turn and it was quite a dreamy scene about John's mind. All he remembered was his wife Donna and kept asking her if she thinks he love him enough and did enough for the family. Then his wife told him she won't give him on up, so John shouldn't give up and kept asking him to hang on.

Then John blinked back to reality and the rescuers got everything under control and it was all John's will to survive. Everything was over and he was sent to the hospital and the first thing he said to her when he saw her was, "You... kept me alive." The wife hugged her husband lovingly.

I was tearing uncontrollably, sobbing hard, I heard sobs in the cinema too. It started for me from the second the building collapse all the way the movie was finished. Practically every scene....

2 years after the 911, John & Will were retired and their story lived on surviving the horrible disaster. At the end, there was acknowledgement that 2900+ had died, among which 390+ are firemen, police, army, and rescuers. And there were only 20 ppl who survive. John & Will were the 18th & 19th to be rescued.
